Every Day

We believe that Christ’s Church is called to be a worshiping and a witnessing community. The God we worship is a missionary God who sent His only begotten Son to provide salvation for sinners by offering Himself as an atoning sacrifice for them, and sending His Holy Spirit to draw them in repentance and faith to Christ as their Lord and Savior. Before He ascended back into heaven, our Lord commissioned His Church to be a missionary Church and take the Gospel, not just to those nearby, but to ‘the end of the earth’ (Acts 1:8) and ‘make disciples of all the nations’ (Matt.28:19). He also warned that He cannot return to take us to glory until ‘this gospel of the kingdom be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations’ (Matt.24:14).

So witnessing to our neighbors at home and supporting evangelism abroad through our prayers and gifts, or by personally going to the mission field, is a duty binding on all our members every day. In these ways we promote missionary endeavor through the Mission Boards of the Southern Baptist Convention, Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America, and other non-denominational, evangelical agencies, and carry on the noble work of such great Baptist forebears as John Bunyan, William Carey, Adoniram Judson, Luther Rice, Charles Spurgeon, Jesse Mercer, Richard Furman, John Broaddus and many others.
